Rant time. I work at a Fortune 200 company and like most large enterprises we also use Microsoft Office.  As a business productivity suite I think it's the best out there, no matter what the open source hippies might say, but when it comes to development with these products, I really get my panties in a twist. Windows 7 Party Pack Arrives

And it is every bit as cheesy as it sounds. Among other things I get a free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, a puzzle, a deck of cards and napkins (napkins?!).  I'm not sure that I particularly care for the 'Signature Edition' containing Monkey Boy's John Hancock, but I'm raffling it off anyway.  I've assembled the tote bags (last pic below) that include coupons for discounted software from Norton, Kaspersky, Corel, etc. Check out the unboxing:

Windows 7 Pricing Disappoints

I am a big fan of Windows 7.  I have been pretty critical of Windows Vista, considering it a stop gap to an already tardy update to XP.  Simply put, Windows 7 is what Vista should have been.  So when Microsoft announced its pricing this morning for the October's release, I was very disappointed.
