One of the things that I found interesting starting my first real professional job, was trying to explain to my wife the relationships to between myself and my supervisors. For example:My boss' boss' secretary told my boss that she couldn't do 'x', but my boss' boss' boss really didn't care. What makes it interesting is that my boss' boss' thought doing 'x' was a wonderful idea and started doing it herself. All that redundancy makes it confusing for those trying to follow the story, and it gets to be quite a tongue-twister just saying it. So, I came up with the...
This morning while getting ready for work, I found an advertisement for an air freshener. I thought that something like that was odd to see in my house, so I took a second to look at it, and found something even odder. One of the 'headline' scents was for 'Watermelon Rush'. This was especially true since I had received a comparable offer (at least salary-wise) right in Utah. However, after weighing my options and the...
I've had my iPod about two weeks now and have loved all the things that I can do with it. However, there are a few things that kinda irritate me.1. Photo Organization I've loaded some photos on there, but it doesn't preserve the hierarchical structure the way they are on my server. For example, if I take my photo directory (which has been painstakingly organized into separate folders) and drop it in iTunes, then it basically lumps all my photos together in one area inside the iPod. This isn't a problem if you have a couple dozen pictures, but not...
